Rare Carlton Ware Lobster Design Salad Bowl 1950s Kitsch - Sold
A rare Carlton Ware lobster design salad bowl from the 1950s. The detailing on the Lobsters is fabulous and also the leaves that create the overall shape of the bowl. This piece is difficult to find and would be the focal point of any table.
The base is stamped with the ‘Carlton Ware’ 'Made in England' stamp.
Manufacturer: Carlton Ware
Date: 1950's
Dimensions: 232mm (9.25") diameter and 118mm (4.75") high.
Condition:
The condition is excellent with the exception of the underside of the lobsters. There has been a little paint loss which has been touched up with matt red paint (not by me!). This is unseen when the bowl is upright, but could be made to look neater! Please see photographs for detailed condition.
