John Moyr Smith, 1877 Waverley Amy Robsart & Leicester Minton Tile - Sold

Designed by John Moyr Smith (1839-1912) in the Aesthetic Movement style, this tile was manufactured by Minton, Stoke-on-Trent.

It depicts Amy Robsart & Leicester from the Waverley series, 1877.

The tile is in very good condition save for a couple of nibbles on the bottom edge. We also have another Moyr Smith Waverley tile available.

Signed on the front 'Moyr Smith', the tile is impressed to the rear with 'Mintons China Works, Stoke on Trent'.
