- Sold
Henry Alken (1785-1851) produced a range of humorous and sporting prints. This hand-coloured etching is from his 'Symptoms of Being Amused' series, published in 1822 by Thomas McLean of 26 Haymarket, London.
This print includes 'Symptoms of...
...Being Bang Up
...a Fine Woman
...Being Bang Down
...a Quiet One'
This print is presented framed and glazed. We also currently have on offer a further three prints from the 'Symptoms of Being Amused' series.
The dimensions of the framed print are 318mm x 261mm.
Condition: A little water staining to the top left and bottom right, but otherwise good condition commensurate with age. Please see the photographs for detailed condition.
