John Moyr Smith, 1877 Waverley Nigel & King James Minton Tile - Sold

Designed by John Moyr Smith (1839-1912) in the Aesthetic Movement style, this tile was manufactured by Minton, Stoke-on-Trent.

It depicts Nigel & King James from the Waverley series, 1877.

The tile is in very good condition save for a couple of very small nibbles on the edges. We also have another Moyr Smith Waverley tile available.

Signed on the front 'Moyr Smith', the tile is impressed to the rear with 'Mintons China Works, Stoke on Trent'.
