19th Century Anglo-Indian Wooden Ornament - Sold

This looks as if it is made from Padouk wood and probably dates to around 1870. Presumably it would have been ornamental decoration for an elaborately carved piece of wooden furniture. It looks to be either Anglo-Indian or Burmese in origin. We also have two smaller fragments for sale - please see our other listing.
