Shibiyama Lacquered Matching Wall Plaques with Bone and Mother of Pearl Inlay - Sold

This is a beautiful matching pair of Shibiyama lacquered wall plaques with bone and mother of pearl inlay.

Date: Circa 1870
Country of Origin: Japan
Dimensions: Approximate diameter 395mm (15.75")
Condition: Overall very good condition for age. There is some bubbling and loss of lacquer around the left hand character on the second plaque. Please see photographs for detailed condition.
